Meet Liz Spear

Liz Spear the playwright and Elizabeth Revill the actress and author are one and the same person. Born and brought up in the Midlands city of Birmingham, but descended from Welsh stock, Liz Spear is very proud of her heritage. A committed theatre lover and storyteller she always loved to write stories, plays and novels. Her first novel, Killing Me Softly, written under her stage name Elizabeth Revill, is a chilling horror story which created a storm when it was published in 1995. Critics and readers enjoyed the thrill of this terrifying tale and predicted a bright future for Liz Spear.

The sequel, Prayer For The Dying, proved equally popular. Paul Franks of the Midlands BBC Breakfast Show described the book as the best read he'd had in years. Liz is busy writing the final part of the trilogy, God Only Knows.

Liz Spear has written six plays. Her two, one act, plays: Check-mate and It Happens in Films - are comedies. Her three full length plays: Relative Disaster - a comedy, Mocking Birds Don't Sing - a drama, and Milly's Moments - a farce.  She has also completed a spooky thriller, In the Chill of the Night. All are published by New Theatre Publications.

A new unpublished novel, Whispers on the Wind, is set in Wales an area Liz Spear knows and loves. This enthralling family story begins in 1928 and takes us up to the start of the Second World War. Two further novels about the same family are planned: Shadows on the Moon and Rainbows in the Clouds.
